Our Story

A popular grill and alehouse in the Admiral District of West Seattle for 25 years! Circa is family owned and operated by New Orleans native, Bill Evans, who picked up his culinary skills while attending LSU and cooking at The Chimes. His wife Gretchen, a PNW native, cut her teeth line-cooking her way through college at Dairy Queen and throwing elaborate dinner parties at home. Gretchen was also a server and bartender at Circa for over a decade before purchasing it from the original owner. Together with their 3 sons, the Evans family is passionate about Circa & the west Seattle community.

With Circa’s 14 beers on tap, full cocktail menu and a great wine selection, there’s something for everyone. Come try some crowd favorites like the Painted Hills skirt steak salad with Circa Steak Sauce, homemade meatloaf with veal demi and or Circa burger featuring 8 oz.of all-natural Painted Hills beef on a Macrina brioche with Tillamook Cheddar. Great vegetarian and vegan items are always offered as well. Also, best service in town, y’all.
